A structural engineer since graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2013, Nicholas became a director of Xeros Piccolo Consulting Engineers in 2022, and brings a strong blend of technical expertise and practical experience to the leadership team.

Throughout his career, Nicholas has worked across both the Griffith and Wagga Wagga offices, contributing to a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and industrial projects involving concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures. Meanwhile, working with a major engineering firm in Canberra for a period allowed him to gain valuable exposure to the design and delivery of large multistorey post-tensioned concrete developments.

In 2016, he undertook a secondment in Christchurch, New Zealand, following the Kaikōura earthquake, where he assisted local engineers in recovery and remediation efforts. This hands-on experience in post-disaster structural assessment further strengthened his technical capabilities and reinforced his commitment to resilient, practical design solutions.

Nicholas is registered as a Chartered Engineer through Engineers Australia and is on the National Engineers Register. He is also registered as a Professional Engineer and Design Practitioner in New South Wales, allowing him to consult on Class 2 Building projects.
