53 Crampton Street - Construction of New Residential Units

Xeros Piccolo Consulting Engineers completed the civil and structural design for a 16-unit residential development, delivering an efficient and robust solution tailored to the site’s challenging ground conditions.

The site contained soils with poor bearing capacity, requiring a specialised foundation approach. To address this, we designed a BIAX pod system on strategically located piers to create a stable foundation. The BIAX slab system also provided significant environmental benefits, incorporating recycled plastics that reduce material consumption, contributing to a more sustainable construction outcome.

Our civil scope included the design of an underground detention basin to manage stormwater runoff and ensure compliance with council requirements.
